Hawks Finish 11th at Temple

Bosica, scored the first hole-in-one in Bob
Lynch's tenure as head coach, but the Hawks
finished in eleventh place overall at the Temple
Invitational.
Bosica dropped in the hole-in-one on the
167-yard ninth hole during the final round of
competition. It was his first ace in competition.
He finished fourth for SJU and 56th in the field
witha a 36-hole total of 166.
As a unit SJU placed eleventh overall in the 14 team event, which was
played at the Glenmaura National Golf Club, near Scranton, Pa. The
Hawks picked up their play on day two after a rocky opening round.
Juniors J.P. Glynn (83, 74-157) and C.J. O'Connell (78, 79-157) were
the top finishers for SJU, finishing in a tie for 30th overall. Glynn used a
torrid second day to help bring SJU back to the pack. He lowered his
score by 9 strokes on the second day of competition. O'Connell shot
consistently each day for the Cityliners.
In addition to Bosica, Glynn and O'Connell, sophomore Jeff Huntzinger
(82, 81-163) and freshman Brian McDermott (81, 80-161) also scored
for the Hawks.
SJU will now enter into a two-week hiatus. The Hawk linksters will
return to the course on October 21-22 at the Delaware Cave's Valley
Invitational.
