DALLAS, TX (3/15/02)-- The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team was swept by Southern Methodist University 6-0 during Wednesday morning's match. With the loss, the Hawks fall to 3-6. SMU, ranked 39th in the nation, defeated the Hawks in all six singles matches. Freshman Francisco Velazquez pushed Mustang foe Eric Cohn, to a third set but dropped 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Doubles competition was not played. The Hawks look to rebound from their road trip, Monday, March 18 when they play host to Loyola. It will be SJU's season home opener. The match is set for 3:00 p.m.
