PHILADELPHIA (03/29/02) - Senior Pat Mulvaney posted a 6-1, 6-4 win over UMass' Phil Cohen at #6 singles to help lift Saint Joseph's to a 4-3 win over the visiting Minutemen on Friday afternoon on Finnesey Courts. Mulvaney's win proved to be the team's fourth point as senior Shawn Farrokh, freshman Francisco Velazquez and senior Damon Dennin each won their singles matches at #1, #3, and #4, respectively. UMass won the doubles point with SJU's #1 pair of freshmen Velazquez and Van Homer Pangilinan providing the team's only double victory. The Hawks, 5-8, take on Navy in Annapolis, Md. tomorrow.
