HOLLAND EARNS WIN IN BACKDRAW AT ITA REGIONALS
ITHACA, NY (10/20/03) -- Sophomore Jimmy Holland earned a win in the consolation bracket at the ITA Northeast Individual Regional Championships at Cornell University this weekend. Holland defeated Niagara's John Bozanich, 6-2, 6-0 in the first round.
He then faced off against Virginia Tech's Marion Schultz, but lost 6-2, 4-6, (10-5).
Classmate A.J. Garabedian also participated, but lost a close 6-2, 4-6, (11-9) match to Rhode Island's Dustin Parante.
The two Hawk entries paired up in doubles, but lost to Columbia's Scott Robbin and Rohan Saikia, 8-5.
SJU will send players to the Tennessee Fall Doubles Invitational this weekend.
