Philadelphia, PA (11/2/00) - St. Joseph's University freshman Michelle Ford was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Rookie Team. Ford was the lone Hawk honored as the A-10 announced their All-Conference teams at the Awards banquet in conjunction with the A-10 Tournament. Ford, a 5-6 midfielder from Sinking Springs, PA (Wilson HS), played in all 17 games, starting 16. She finished the season fourth on the team in scoring with six points on two goals and two assists. SJU ended the 2000 campaign with a 4-13 overall mark. The team should be much improved as just two starters, Mindy Spellman and Colleen Corcoran are lost. Senior Courtney Kennedy, who was injured in the third game, is expected back for a fifth season.
